How To

What is a Battery Pack? How do I replace it?

A battery pack is what powers the motors of your drone. These packs provide enough power to keep your quadcopter in flight safely and smoothly.

When you buy a new drone, you probably won't notice any difference between the old battery pack and the new one. But your battery pack will eventually become less efficient over time. It may stop working completely eventually. To make sure that your drone is still functioning properly, you will need to replace its battery.

When replacing a battery pack, it's best to use an original replacement part. You could endanger your drone's safety by using a faulty replacement part.

These steps will help you replace your battery pack.

  1. Disconnecting the battery connector cable is a good idea. This step ensures that your drone doesn't receive any electrical current. Simply pull the cable from the drone to disconnect the battery connector.
  2. Remove the battery pack. Remove the battery pack from your quadcopter's bottom. The battery pack is usually split into two pieces.
  3. Locate the contacts of your battery. After you have removed the battery pack from the drone, locate the contacts. These tiny metal pins are what connect the battery to other components within the drone.
  4. Install the new battery. Next, place the new battery in the drone. Next, align the battery connectors at the two ends of the battery pack. Next, insert the battery package onto the drone. Once this is done, tighten your bolts to secure the battery pack.
  5. Connect the battery connector cable again. After installing the new battery pack, reconnect the battery connector cable to the drone.
  6. Make sure to test the drone. Check that your drone still works properly before you fly it again. Congratulations if it works!
